Chandigarh Alert: Traffic to be affected in these areas due to pipeline work

Chandigarh, March 26, 2026: The Municipal Corporation has issued an alert for residents as work on strengthening the Tertiary Treated (T.T.) water supply system is underway in the city.
As part of the project, road cutting for laying pipelines will be carried out at selected locations, likely to impact traffic for several hours.
According to officials, the work will take place on March 27 at Maloya Colony road in front of Snehalaya and near the Green Belt, followed by work on March 29 at the T-point of the dividing road of Sector 25/25-West behind Panjab University. The timings for both days are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly, use alternative routes, and cooperate with authorities during the execution of the project, which aims to improve the city’s water infrastructure.
