'India Handling It Well’: PM Modi on fuel crisis amid West Asia conflict

New Delhi, March 29, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed concerns over global tensions and their impact on fuel supply during the 132nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, assuring citizens that India is effectively handling the situation.
Referring to ongoing conflicts involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, the Prime Minister noted that wars in different parts of the world have created challenges, including a potential crisis in petrol and diesel supply. However, he emphasized that India is managing these pressures and remains stable.
Modi urged citizens not to fall prey to rumours or misinformation, stating that the government is closely monitoring the situation and providing accurate updates. He cautioned that certain elements are attempting to create panic and disrupt the atmosphere, which could harm national interests.
The Prime Minister appealed to the public to rely only on official communication and maintain calm amid global uncertainties.
