Flight operations at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport will undergo major changes during the Summer Schedule 2026, as the runway will remain non-operational daily from 13:45 hrs to 21:45 hrs between April 1 and September 27, 2026. The restriction, issued through a NOTAM, is part of extensive runway recarpeting and airfield upgrade works, leading to rescheduling of all arrivals and departures outside the notified closure window.
Sharing the details, Airport Director Bhupinnder Singh said that the decision has been taken by the Airports Authority of India to facilitate critical infrastructure upgrades, ensuring enhanced safety, efficiency, and operational capability of the airport.
