“National Security Cannot Be Political Theatre”: Raja Warring slams Bittu and Mann over explosive claims

Chandigarh, May 20, 2026 — Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has sharply criticised both Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over recent allegations involving national security and law-and-order issues in Punjab.
In a strongly worded post on X, Raja Warring questioned Ravneet Bittu for allegedly calling Bhagwant Mann an “ISI agent,” terming it one of the gravest accusations that can be levelled against a constitutional office holder.
Warring asked that if Bittu truly possessed evidence supporting such a serious allegation, why no FIR, investigation or action had been initiated by the Union Home Ministry.
He also questioned why the Punjab Chief Minister continues to attend official meetings with Union Ministers and coordinate with the Central Government if such allegations are genuine.
At the same time, the Congress leader also targeted Bhagwant Mann over his earlier allegations that the BJP was behind blasts and disturbances in Punjab. Warring questioned what action the Punjab Government had taken on those claims and asked why no official investigation or FIR had followed.
He stated that national security issues should not be reduced to political statements aimed at gaining headlines or television attention.
“National security cannot become daily political theatre. If there is evidence, act officially. If not, stop spreading fear and confusion among people,” Raja Warring said in his statement.
