Fazilka, May 20
Under the ongoing Digital Census 2027 initiative, Fazilka demonstrated commendable participation, securing the second position in self-enumeration efforts conducted up to May 14. A total of 8,239 individuals within Fazilka's jurisdiction participated by submitting detailed information and responding to 33 questionnaire items.
Leading the ranking is Ludhiana in the first position, followed by Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar in third. Deputy Commissioner and Principal Census Officer Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu extended heartfelt congratulations to the city's residents for their proactive role and thanked them for their contributions.
In addition, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a review meeting with Census Charge Officers at her office to discuss the ongoing efforts in Digital Census 2027's first phase, focused on House Listing and Residential Census.
She provided necessary directives to enhance the efficiency of the field survey, which began on May 15 and is scheduled to run until June 13. During this period, enumerators will actively visit households and collect information through 33 predefined questions.
Officials encouraged residents to assist enumerators by providing accurate data crucial for crafting government policies and implementing welfare schemes tailored to public needs.
For individuals who have already completed self-enumeration, sharing their SE-ID during property visits will suffice; no document or OTP submission will be required by the enumerators during these interactions.
