Chandigarh, May 21, 2026: Member Parliament Vikramjeet Sahney has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for sanctioning ₹3,284 crore to Punjab under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). This transformative support is enabling the rollout of underground power distribution networks across Punjab.
In a tweet, he said that tt will modernise Punjab’s power infrastructure through underground power networks, smart metering and grid strengthening, leading to fewer outages, lower transmission losses, improved voltage stability, enhanced public safety and more reliable 24x7 electricity for households, farmers, industries and businesses across the state.
