Chandigarh, May 27, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday directed officials to launch a statewide special campaign for the registration of gig workers to ensure they receive social security and welfare benefits under upcoming Central and State government schemes.
The directions were issued during a review meeting on the Labour Department’s five-year roadmap and action plan under Haryana Vision 2047 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat.
The Chief Minister said both the Centre and the Haryana Government are working on new welfare schemes for gig workers associated with digital and online platforms.
