Distribution of cash incentive to women to start from July 1: Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, June 2, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced that cash incentive scheme for women above 18 years of age in Punjab will start from July 1, 2026.
Addressing a press conference here today, Punjab CM disclosed that already 36 lakh women have enrolled themselves for the scheme. He said that there are around 52 lakh women above 18 years of age. He said that rest are likely to be registered soon.
He said that if any woman get registered in September or October she will be eligible to get benefit from July 1, 2026 retrospectively.
