Haryana: Newly appointed Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons and Members of Haryana Boards assume charge

Panchkula (Haryana), June 4, 2026:Newly appointed Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons and Members of various Haryana boards and commissions formally assumed office at a ceremony held in Panchkula on Thursday.
Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment, SCs & BCs Welfare, Antyodaya (SEWA) Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi and Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar administered the charge to office-bearers of multiple state boards, including the Haryana State Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Haryana State Social Welfare Board, Haryana Vimukat Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board, and Haryana Kesh Kala and Kaushal Vikas Board.
Among those who took charge were Ishwar Singh Plaka as Chairman of the Haryana State Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Bharat Bhushan Tak as Vice-Chairman, along with members Mohit Valmiki, Jitender Valmiki, Rekha Rani, Sanjeev Gharu, and Chandra Prakash Bosti. Captain Yogesh Bairagi assumed office as Chairman of the Haryana State Social Welfare Board.
Jasmer Singh Banjara took charge as Chairman of the Haryana Vimukat Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board, while Ompal assumed office as Vice-Chairman. For the Haryana Kesh Kala and Kaushal Vikas Board, Yashpal Thakur took charge as Chairman and Naresh Kumar Sain as Vice-Chairman.
Addressing the newly appointed office-bearers, Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi urged them to work with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service. He said Haryana has witnessed a “significant and positive transformation” in the welfare of the poor and underprivileged over the past 12 years.
Highlighting social security reforms, he said earlier systems were marked by irregularities in pension distribution, whereas today benefits are directly transferred into beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Krishan Lal Panwar expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for appointing individuals with strong grassroots connect. He said the newly appointed representatives would play a key role in ensuring that government welfare schemes reach the last person in society.
Senior dignitaries including Deputy Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, Director Social Justice and Empowerment Department Ajay Kumar, and other officials and party leaders were also present on the occasion.
