1994-batch IAS officer gets additional charge as Secretary, D/o Tourism

New Delhi, July 5, 2026:The Central government has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, to Vivek Aggarwal, IAS (Madhya Pradesh cadre, 1994 batch).
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Aggarwal, who is currently serving as Secretary, Ministry of Culture, will hold the additional charge of the Tourism Ministry from July 3 to July 19, 2026.
He will assume the additional responsibilities during the leave period of Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS (Uttar Pradesh cadre, 1995 batch), who is the incumbent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.
