Police crack down on motorcycle lifters, mobile snatchers, 4 booked
Ferozepur, July 7, 2026: Ferozepur Police have arrested four habitual motorcycle lifters and mobile snatchers, in separate cases as part of a special drive against absconding criminals. The accused were produced before the court on July 6 and remanded to judicial custody.
Senior Superintendent of Police Bhupinder Singh, SP (Investigation) Manjit Singh, and Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Sukhwinder Singh said the action was taken under the directions of the Ferozepur Police to trace and apprehend proclaimed offenders involved in serious criminal cases.
The arrested accused have been identified as Gautam Urf Kali, resident of Basti Indira Colony, Ferozepur City, Sunny, resident of Basti Indira Colony, Ferozepur City, Pippal Singh, son of Harnek Singh and Binder Singh, son of Tarsem Singh, resident of Vassian Wali Gali.
Dedicated police teams conducted raids at multiple locations and successfully apprehended them.According to police records, the accused are involved in several criminal cases, including offences under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the NDPS Act. Gautam Urf Kali faces three criminal cases, Sunny is involved in one case, while Pippal Singh is wanted in two cases registered under the NDPS Act.
Ferozepur Police stated that the campaign against the mischievous and unscrupulous persons and other wanted criminals will continue to ensure law and order and bring absconding accused to justice.
