Rangareddy (Telangana), July 11, 2026:In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across Telangana, a 35-year-old man, who was out on bail in a POCSO case, allegedly murdered six people, including his wife, two young children, the minor complainant in the case, and her mother and grandmother, in Rangareddy district.
According to police, the accused, identified as Rajkumar, allegedly carried out the killings in a premeditated manner on Friday night in Shabad Mandal.
Investigators said Rajkumar first murdered his wife, Parvati Sarita (30), and their two children—a four-year-old son and an 18-month-old child—at their residence in Devlaguda village. Police believe he locked the house from inside and increased the volume of electronic appliances, including the air conditioner, fan and television, to muffle any screams while the family was asleep.
After allegedly killing his family, Rajkumar reportedly drove nearly six kilometres to another village, where he attacked the 17-year-old girl who had filed a molestation complaint against him on May 16 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused is also alleged to have murdered the teenager’s mother, Lakshmi (45), and grandmother, Rukkukkama (65), during the attack.
Police said Rajkumar had been released on bail in the molestation case before the incident. Preliminary investigations suggest the killings were planned, and officials are probing the motive and sequence of events.
A detailed investigation is underway, and further legal proceedings are expected as police continue to gather evidence in one of the most horrific multiple homicide cases reported in the region in recent times.
