GRP Denies claims of Khalistan Graffiti on Punjab Mail train coaches
Ferozepur, July 11, 2026: The Government Railway Police (GRP), Ferozepur, has dismissed claims circulating in connection with an alleged email from Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun regarding "Khalistan" graffiti at the Punjab Mail train coaches.
SHO GRP Ferozepur Naveen Sharma said the railway station platforms and the Punjab Mail train were thoroughly inspected on Saturday morning along with senior officers of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He stated that no graffiti or slogans, as alleged in the purported communication, were found.
Sharma further said that no such email has been officially received by the railway authorities. As a precautionary measure, another inspection of the Punjab Mail will be conducted before its evening departure.
The clarification came after reports circulated online claiming that a Delhi-bound train from Ferozepur Cantt had been defaced with pro-Khalistan and anti-government slogans ahead of the Prime Minister's proposed visit to Jalandhar. Police said the allegations were found to be baseless during the inspection and that security at the station remains under close watch.
