Mohali (Punjab), July 12, 2026: A group of students pursuing the B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics programme at Chandigarh University successfully completed a six-week Internship-cum-Training Programme at Amrit Deol Fitness and Nutrition, gaining hands-on experience in clinical nutrition, diet planning and lifestyle management.
The internship was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice by combining theoretical knowledge with practical training in the field of nutrition and wellness.

During the programme, students underwent training on the gastrointestinal, circulatory, respiratory and neurological systems, along with theoretical analysis and evidence-based diet planning. The curriculum focused on enhancing their understanding of human physiology while strengthening their nutritional assessment and meal-planning skills.
Participants also received practical exposure to clinical nutrition, preventive healthcare and lifestyle management. They were trained in client interaction, dietary counselling, nutrition assessment, diet formulation and enrolment procedures, equipping them with skills required in the growing health and wellness sector.
The internship was conducted under the guidance of Amrit Deol, Founder of Amrit Deol Fitness and Nutrition, who served as the lead organiser. Students were mentored by an experienced team of trainers, receiving practical demonstrations and in-depth insights into medical and nutritional concepts.
The programme was attended by both Indian and international students enrolled in Chandigarh University’s B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics course.
Congratulating the participants, Amrit Deol said that practical exposure, combined with a strong academic foundation, is essential for aspiring nutrition professionals. He expressed confidence that the knowledge and skills gained during the internship would enable the students to make meaningful contributions in the fields of clinical nutrition, preventive healthcare and wellness.
