DC felicitates ADC for completing SIR-2026 Survey ahead of schedule
Ferozepur, July 31, 2026: The house-to-house survey under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls has been completed 100 per cent in Ferozepur Rural Assembly constituency, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing voter-list revision exercise.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Deepshikha Sharma felicitated Electoral Registration Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Krishna Pal Rajput for successfully completing the survey ahead of the stipulated schedule. Deputy District Election Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amandeep Kaur was also present.
DC said that the SIR-2026 exercise being undertaken by the Election Commission of India is crucial for ensuring accuracy, transparency and integrity of electoral rolls. She appreciated the planning, supervision and dedicated efforts of Krishna Pal Rajput and the entire team, including office staff, supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
She said the successful completion of the survey in Ferozepur Rural before the deadline sets an example for other Assembly constituencies in the district. She expressed hope that officials and employees engaged in the exercise in the remaining constituencies would also complete the process within the prescribed timeline with the same dedication.
DC said the primary objective of SIR-2026 is to ensure that every eligible citizen is enrolled as a voter, remove ineligible entries and keep electoral rolls accurate and updated. The district administration is continuously monitoring the process in coordination with BLOs and other officials to ensure compliance with Election Commission guidelines.
After receiving the honour, Krishna Pal Rajput thanked the Deputy Commissioner and said the achievement was the result of the collective efforts of the entire team. He assured that the officials and employees would continue to discharge their responsibilities with the same dedication in the coming stages of the SIR process.
