  Chandigarh, August 21, 2026: The Punjab government told the Punjab and Haryana High Court that it has time until August 31 to submit the compliance report in the matter of non-release of Dearness Allowance to employees and pensioners.
  
  The next hearing has been scheduled for October 27.
  
  The High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab government seeking its response to the contempt petition.
