Big Breaking- IED Found in Forested Area Near Chandigarh Sector-43 Bus Stand; Police Detain Suspects

Chandigarh, August 23, 2026: Panic gripped the police and security agencies after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was found in a forested area located behind the Sector-43 bus stand in Chandigarh. Soon after receiving information about the suspected explosive device, police cordoned off the area and tightened security arrangements.
According to the information available, police have detained several suspicious individuals in connection with the case. Preliminary information suggests that the detained suspects may have links to Punjab.
However, police have not yet shared any detailed official information regarding the identities of the suspects or the circumstances surrounding the recovery of the IED.
