Breaking: Punjab Govt moves Supreme Court in DA case, files SLP

Chandigarh, September 1, 2026: The Punjab Government has approached the Supreme Court of India in the case concerning Dearness Allowance (DA) and filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP).
According to the information available, the petition has been filed by the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab in connection with the Nirmal Singh Dhindsa/Dhanoa case.
As per the Supreme Court’s official records, the matter has been registered under Diary No. 53830/2026 and its current status is shown as “Pending.”
