  Hoshiarpur, September 19, 2026: A local POCSO court has awarded death penalty to a UP man Nanak Dev for assaulting and murder of 5 year old Punjabi boy.
  
  Case was reported on September 9, 2023 when Nanak Dev abducted 5 year old boy from outside his house in New Deep Nagar area. His body was later recovered from a cremation ground.
  
  Judge Manpreet Kaur termed the case as ‘rarest of the rare’ to award death penalty to the guilty.
