DSGMC reviews preparations for 350th Shaheedi Commemoration of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib

New Delhi, September 23, 2026: Preparations are in full swing for the concluding programmes marking the 350th Shaheedi anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon said on Wednesday.
The DSGMC leaders said an important meeting of office-bearers and members was held on Tuesday to review and finalise arrangements for the commemorative programmes.
Kalka and Kahlon said the historic programmes would bring the Sikh sangat together to pay tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib's supreme sacrifice and reflect on his message of humanity, religious freedom, courage and unwavering faith.
They said Guru Sahib's martyrdom remains a source of inspiration for humanity, while his teachings continue to highlight the importance of standing firmly for human rights, religious freedom and truth.
The DSGMC leaders said all necessary arrangements were being made to conduct the programmes with devotion, dignity and reverence. They added that special attention was being given to facilities for devotees and ensuring smooth arrangements for the large number of people expected to attend the commemorations.
