National BJP Leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan Joins Lok Janshakti Party in Presence of Chirag Paswan
New Delhi, September 23, 2026: In a significant political development, senior national political leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan, Advocate and Namberdar, joined the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) today at the party’s Central Office in New Delhi in the presence of Shri Chirag Paswan, National President, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Dr. K.P. Chaudhary, General Secretary (Organisation).
Grewal, a permanent resident of Village Bhukhri Kalan, District Ludhiana, Punjab, has been associated with public and political life for several decades. He is a practicing Advocate at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, an agriculturist and the Namberdar of Village Bhukhri Kalan. His public work has focused on farmers, rural communities, youth, social welfare, national security and issues concerning Punjab.
Grewal began his political journey with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1992. During his long organisational career, he held various responsibilities in the BJP Kisan Morcha and BJP Yuva Morcha. He served as National Secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha for six consecutive terms and also served as Prabhari of BJP Kisan Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, for eight consecutive years.
He has consistently raised issues related to farmers, agricultural land, rural development, employment, anti-drug awareness and the welfare of Punjab’s villages. He has also remained associated with issues concerning national security, terrorism, national unity and constitutional values.
During his association with Jammu and Kashmir, Grewal worked on issues concerning the Sikh community and highlighted the development needs of remote areas. He was also associated with efforts concerning Chittisinghpora, where 35 Sikh civilians were killed in 2000. A Central Degree College was subsequently sanctioned in the area and is now functioning.
Grewal has also spoken about surviving a terrorist attack during the difficult period of terrorism in Punjab, in which he and his father, Late Sardar Kesar Singh Grewal Ji, were grievously injured. He has described his survival as a blessing from Waheguru Ji and has expressed his resolve to dedicate his life to the service of the nation and the people.
His joining of the Lok Janshakti Party marks a new chapter in his long public and political journey. With decades of experience in public life and grassroots engagement in Punjab, his entry into the party begins a new phase of his political and social service.
The joining ceremony was held at the Central Lok Janshakti Party Office in New Delhi in the presence of the party’s national leadership. With this new beginning, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan has started a new chapter in his public and political journey with the Lok Janshakti Party
