Chitkara University: Students go on ransack spree/protests, manhandle police officials late night after rumour of missing of two girl students, watch video

Rajpura, September 26, 2026: Students at Chitkara University went on ransack spree late at night after rumours of missing of two girl students surfaced late last night.
These students held protests at campus and ransacked furniture at university. They also manhandled police officials on the spot.
DSP Sukhdev Singh reached the spot and talked to protesting students along with officials from University and told them that it was only a rumour and nothing of sort has happened at campus. He said that a post on social media had claimed that two girl students had gone missing. He said that they have taken complaint from students which will be examined and enquiry will be conducted.
University Registrar also said that it was all rumour and they have pacified students. He also said that he will issue a detailed statement today during the day later.
