New Delhi, October 24, 2026: Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has recalled her first meeting with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at a Greek restaurant in Cambridge, describing him as a handsome and kind-hearted person.
In a video shared on social media platform X ahead of the release of her upcoming book, Belonging: A Journey of Love, Sonia Gandhi recounted how the two first met through a common friend while she was studying in Cambridge.

Sonia Gandhi also recalled how their friendship gradually developed as they began attending parties, exploring new places and participating in social gatherings, including Valentine’s Day celebrations.
