Sukhbir Badal Visits Parvinder Jhota’s Family, Vows Akali Dal’s Full Support in Fight for Justice
Says Jhota’s Sacrifice in the Fight Against Drugs Will Always Be Remembered; Demands Strict Action Against Those Responsible

Mansa, October 25, 2026: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal visited the residence of Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa on Sunday and met his family members to express his condolences and solidarity. Badal praised the family’s courage and determination and assured them of the party’s full support in their fight for justice.
Speaking to the media, Badal said he bowed his head in respect to Bhai Jhota’s parents, wife, and two young children for their strength and resolve in the face of such a profound tragedy. He said the family’s determination to pursue justice despite their immense grief was an inspiring example of courage and resilience for society.
Badal assured the family and the action committee leading the struggle that the Shiromani Akali Dal would stand firmly by their side throughout the fight for justice. He said the party, along with him personally, would provide all possible assistance and support from beginning to end.
“The family will not be left alone in this struggle. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with them until justice is delivered,” Badal said.
Addressing the serious issue of drug abuse in Punjab, the SAD president said Bhai Parvinder Singh Jhota’s contribution and sacrifice in the fight against drugs and in efforts to protect Punjab’s youth would always be remembered.
He emphasised that safeguarding the younger generation from the menace of drugs was a collective responsibility and called for sustained efforts to prevent Punjab’s youth from falling into the trap of substance abuse.
Badal also demanded that strict legal action be taken against those responsible in the case without further delay. He stressed that accountability must be ensured and the victim’s family must receive justice.
