In a proactive initiative to strengthen grassroots policing, improve operational efficiency and enhance public safety, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurdaspur, IPS Aditiya, held a high-level interaction meeting with officers and personnel of the Dinanagar Sub-Division, Traffic Police and Emergency Response System (ERS) on October 26.
The meeting underscored the district police leadership’s commitment to ensuring efficient policing, better inter-departmental coordination and a responsive, citizen-friendly approach to public service.
During the meeting, SSP Aditiya reviewed the operational preparedness of police units, assessed existing challenges and discussed measures to strengthen crime prevention across the region. He stressed the importance of close coordination among police stations, traffic personnel and emergency response teams to ensure swift and effective action during critical situations.
Particular emphasis was laid on improving the response time of the Emergency Response System and streamlining traffic management to ensure smoother movement, greater road safety and enhanced convenience for the public.
The review provided an opportunity to assess the functioning of field units and reinforce the need for alertness, preparedness and effective implementation of policing strategies at the grassroots level.
Demonstrating a people-oriented approach within the police force, SSP Aditiya directly interacted with police personnel and listened to their operational and administrative grievances. The concerned departmental heads were directed to ensure the prompt, transparent and appropriate redressal of the issues raised by personnel.
