Tough stand by Punjab IAS lobby on booking of IAS officer Neelima by Punjab Vigilance has gladdened the hearts of their Haryana counterpart who are watching and monitoring developments to chalk out their strategy to challenge Haryana Vigilance.
Developments in Punjab on the issue of booking of IAS officer Neelima by Vigilance are affecting Haryana also. Haryana IAS lobby that was feeling a bit demoralized after Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattat, while over-ruling the decision of Chief -Secretary has given the sanction of prosecution against HCS.officer, Amrinder Singh to Haryana Vigilance.
Amrinder while posted as District Transport Officer,Ambala was booked for charging money for allowing safe passage of overloaded vehicles.Although like Punjab Vigilance,Haryana Vigilance has so far not arrested any IAS officer on corruption charges but , there is a feeling in the IAS lobby that soon, some of them will also have to face the heat of Vigilance.
All eyes are set upon the action of Vigilance, Gurugram which is currently probing two F.I.R.s,s in which role of two senior IAS officers is reportedly under the cloud.A mere perusal of the FIRs of both cases, copies of which are with "Gustakhi Maaf Haryana '' reveals that if the cases were probed without any pressure then the officers could be in serious trouble.
One case relates to the allotment of a school site in Gurugram against rules while another case relates to the allotment of three showrooms in 2018 at the rate of 1997. An HCS officer who was posted as Estate Officer, of HSVP when the sites were allotted is absconding and has filed a writ in Panjab and Haryana High Court for quashing of the FIR.
A senior IAS officer who was occupying a senior position in C.M.O, at that time has reportedly forwarded the representation of the party which was allotted sites on behalf of CM, Manohar Lal.
