Singularity normally means - One Thing. In the context of AI, currently there is human intelligence and artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is on the rise - but the day, when it is the only thing that rules is- in AI technology called technical singularity - that is when only artificial intelligence rules - when we human have no control. They anticipate that it will happen within the next 8 - 10 years.
Cincinnati, USA: The concept of technological singularity—where artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence and becomes autonomous—has shifted from a distant possibility to an imminent reality.
The term has become firmly entrenched in the cultural climate, capturing the attention of everyone from seasoned computer scientists to social media pundits. The conversation is no longer about whether singularity will occur but when and what it means for the future of human civilization.
Technological singularity represents a hypothetical future point of irreversible technological growth, promising or threatening to usher in drastic and unforeseeable changes to our world.
The escalation of generative AI has marked significant progress toward this future, evidenced by large language models like Meta's Llama2 and OpenAI's GPT-4 that demonstrate remarkable linguistic and cognitive capabilities.
