Guru Kripa Sewa Sansthan, Sirhind conducts annual blanket distribution to aid needy during winter

Sirhind (Punjab), January 2, 2026: With the blessings and guidance of Param Pujya Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, Guru Kripa Sewa Sansthan, Sirhind, with the support of Vishav Jagriti Mission, successfully organised its annual blanket distribution drive to provide relief to the poor and needy amid the harsh winter season.
As part of the humanitarian initiative, members and volunteers of the Sansthan personally distributed blankets during late night hours to people sleeping on footpaths and roadsides. The compassionate effort aimed at ensuring warmth, comfort and dignity for those unable to afford basic protection against the biting cold, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to serving underprivileged sections of society.
Addressing the occasion, Shri Ashwani Garg, President, and Dr Hitender Suri, Secretary, Guru Kripa Sewa Sansthan, Sirhind, highlighted the importance of extending care and support to the needy, especially during extreme winter conditions. They expressed sincere gratitude to all members and volunteers whose selfless service contributed to the success of the drive.
Apart from the blanket distribution programme, Guru Kripa Sewa Sansthan continues to actively engage in various social welfare initiatives. These include organising free medical check-up and surgical camps, distributing artificial limbs to the differently-abled, and operating a Jan Aushadhi Kendra at its premises to provide quality medicines at highly affordable prices to needy patients. The Sansthan also runs a well-equipped medical laboratory offering diagnostic tests at nominal rates to ensure accessible healthcare for all.
