Mohali: Lift at Mohali’s Mother and Child Hospital to remain closed for 2 months

Mohali (Punjab), April 9, 2025: The lift at the Mother and Child Hospital (MCH), located within the District Hospital in Mohali, will be non-operational for two months due to ongoing construction work.
According to Senior Medical Officer Dr. H.S. Cheema and Medical Superintendent Dr. Navdeep Saini, the lift will remain closed from April 15 to June 15.They stated that the shutdown is necessary as construction for a new hospital building is underway, which affects the current lift’s operation.
Hospital authorities have advised that during this period, patients and visitors will need to use the stairs to access the upper floors of the building.
