New Delhi, July 3, 2025: Siddharth Kaushal, a 2012-batch IPS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, has formally stepped down from service, bringing an end to a distinguished law enforcement career spanning over 13 years in Andhra Pradesh.
In a statement released to the media, Kaushal clarified that his decision to resign was completely voluntary and driven by personal reasons. Addressing recent rumours circulating in certain quarters, the officer categorically dismissed any claims of coercion or professional harassment.
“This has been a well-considered personal decision,” said Kaushal. “I have chosen to resign from the Indian Police Service after deep introspection and in alignment with my personal aspirations and family’s wishes.”
He strongly rejected media reports suggesting his resignation was prompted by undue pressure. “Any narrative implying that my decision was influenced by external factors or harassment is entirely unfounded and misleading,” he added.
Kaushal, known for his firm policing style and people-centric approach, served in various capacities within the Andhra Pradesh police force and earned praise for his leadership during challenging law and order situations.
