‘Easy Registry’ system launched in Ferozepur to streamline property registrations
Ferozepur, July 8, 2025: The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has launched the ‘Easy Registry’ system in Ferozepur to simplify property registration processes for citizens.
Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma inaugurated the system today during her visit to the Sub-Registrar Office, where necessary changes were implemented to facilitate this service. She stated that this new system will ensure that citizens receive real-time updates regarding their property registrations directly on their mobile phones through WhatsApp, making the process faster and more transparent.
DC informed that citizens can also call helpline number 1076 to invite service assistants to their homes for document preparation, benefiting villagers, senior citizens, busy professionals, and those unable to visit offices in person.
She added that under this system, citizens will receive updates via WhatsApp for every step, including document submission, approval, payment, and appointment scheduling. Advance verification of documents will be completed within 48 hours, and registrations will occur at pre-scheduled times, saving citizens significant time.
Furthermore, any corrections required in documents will be communicated in advance, eliminating last-minute issues during registration.
Residents present at the event appreciated the government’s initiative, noting that it will end unnecessary hassle, save time, and reduce dependency on agents or middlemen, as every detail will now be accessible on mobile phones.
Tehsildar Ferozepur Harminder Singh and other officials were also present at the launch event.
