  Chandigarh, March 19, 2025 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport & Labour Minister, Anil Vij, launched a scathing attack on the opposition during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Assembly, calling Congress a "ruined garden where no one can predict which tree will fall next."
  
  He accused the opposition of being unprepared, lacking real issues, and merely reading statements without understanding their significance.
  
  Opposition Lacks Direction and Issues, Says Vij
  
  Speaking to the media, Vij stated, “The opposition has come completely unprepared. They have no real issues and are merely acting as readers.” He further criticized them for failing to ask relevant questions in the Assembly.
  
  2008 Recruitment Issue: “Congress Played with Youths' Future”
  
  On the contentious 2008 recruitment issue, Vij alleged that former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda deliberately concealed crucial portions of the High Court judgment to mislead the public.
  
  He emphasized that corruption in the recruitment process denied opportunities to deserving candidates and that the issue would continue to be raised because it concerns the future of young people.
  
  “Congress played with the future of children during its rule, and it is our duty to keep raising this issue,” he asserted. Vij also pointed out that while an ongoing case cannot be discussed, a decided case can be debated, contradicting Hooda’s stance.
  
  Vij’s Sharp Response on Age Remarks: “I Have More Courage Than a 45-Year-Old”
  
  During a heated Assembly exchange, Vij hit back at Hooda’s repeated jibes about his age. He responded humorously, saying, “Age is not measured by date of birth. I even raced a 45-year-old and proved I have more courage than him. So, my age is 45.”
  
  Government’s Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare
  
  Highlighting the government’s initiatives for farmers, Vij underscored key schemes such as:
  - Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Crop Insurance Scheme)
  - PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (₹6,000 annual financial assistance)
  He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to increasing farmers’ income and reducing their debts.
  
  “Opposition Making Baseless Allegations” on Regularizing Colonies
  
  Addressing allegations regarding illegal colonies, Vij dismissed the opposition’s claims, stating, “These colonies were developed under the Congress regime. Our government is actively working to improve their infrastructure and living conditions.”
