BSF’s Weeklong Crackdown : drones, heroin and weapons seized
Ferozepur, November 15, 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) in joint operations with the Punjab Police, has achieved a major breakthrough in curbing drone-based smuggling along the India–Pakistan international border, seizing heroin, weapons and multiple drones during intensified operations over the past week.
Between November 8 and 14, 2025, BSF troops deployed in the Ferozepur sector recovered 1.016 kg of heroin, four Pakistani drones, two pistols, and two magazines in a series of coordinated anti-smuggling actions.
These operations were conducted on the basis of reliable intelligence inputs and close coordination between BSF field units and its intelligence wing. The alertness and swift operational response of the border personnel successfully thwarted the attempts of cross-border smugglers.
The recovered items include: Heroin: 1.016 kg, Pakistani drones: 4, Pistols: 2, and Magazines: 2.
A spokesperson for the BSF Punjab Frontier stated that the successful seizures reflect the force’s vigilance and firm resolve in strengthening border security. “Preventing the inflow of narcotics and weapons from across the border is our top priority. These operations demonstrate BSF’s full capability to counter any emerging challenge,” the official said.
Surveillance on drone movement in the Ferozepur sector continues to be intensified, with the BSF sending a strong warning to smugglers that no breach in border security will be tolerated.
