Amritsar (Punjab), April 7, 2026: Former Punjab MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Tuesday announced the launch of her new political outfit, the Bhartiya Rashtrawadi Party, nearly two months after her expulsion from the Congress.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former cricketer and ex-Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, made the announcement on social media platform X, describing it as a “much-awaited” step.
In her statement, she said the new party aims to provide a national-level alternative, formed after closely reviewing the performance of existing political leadership.
She emphasized that the initiative is driven by a commitment to serve the nation and deliver what people truly deserve.
Sidhu said the party has been formed by like-minded individuals with the vision to work across states with a common goal of ensuring justice, peace, and transparent governance. She also highlighted the role of “higher consciousness” and spiritual values in shaping the party’s ideology.
Focusing on Punjab, she stated that the party would strive to restore the state’s “lost glory” and build a society based on love, equality, freedom, and selfless service. She described her vision as creating a government “of the people, for the people, and by the people,” while promoting truth and compassion as guiding principles.
