  New Delhi, February 19, 2025: Senior BJP leader Rekha Gupta is the new Chief Minister of Delhi while Parvesh Verma will be her Deputy. Gupta is the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi from the BJP, marking a significant milestone for the party and the state.
  
  This was announced during the following Delhi Legislative Party meeting.In the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections, she won the Shalimar Bagh seat by a significant margin of 29,595 votes, defeating AAP’s Bandana Kumari
  
  The swearing-in ceremony took place on February 20, 2025, at Ramlila Maidan, attended by Prime Minister Modi, Union Cabinet members, and Chief Ministers from various states.
