Breaking: UPSC declares Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 results

New Delhi, June 11, 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025, which was held on May 25, 2025.
Candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary stage can now proceed to the next level — the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025.
The roll numbers of successful candidates have been published on the official UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in. These candidates are provisionally eligible for admission to the Mains examination.
Important Next Steps for Qualified Candidates:
From June 16 to June 25, 2025, a dedicated submission window will be open on the UPSC website to complete the following formalities:
- Payment of Examination Fee:
- Candidates must pay an application fee of ₹200, except for fee-exempt categories such as female, PwBD, SC, and ST candidates.
- Submission/Updation of Special Requirements:
- Candidates requiring a scribe, assistive device, or question papers in large font must submit or update their details.
- Gazette Notification (if applicable):
- Candidates who have undergone a name change post-matriculation or have discrepancies between the name in official records and the CSE-2025 application must submit a gazette notification for verification.
Withheld Results and Future Updates:
The results of four candidates (Roll Nos. 7004555, 6305469, 6413314, and 6610122) have been withheld pending the outcome of ongoing court cases.
Additionally, marksheets, cutoff marks, and official answer keys for the Preliminary exam will be released only after the final results of the Civil Services and Indian Forest Service Examinations 2025 are announced.
