Amritsar (Punjab, June 12, 2026: The youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is set to make its presence felt in Punjab with a protest scheduled in Amritsar on June 13, as the movement expands its campaign over alleged irregularities in national examinations and demands greater accountability in the education system.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced that the organisation will hold a peaceful demonstration at Golden Gate, Amritsar, at 4 pm on Friday. Through social media posts, he appealed to students, volunteers and young citizens to participate in the protest.
The movement, which has previously organised demonstrations in Delhi and Pune, has been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and seeking action over controversies surrounding NEET and CBSE examinations. The group says its objective is to push for transparency, accountability and reforms in India's education sector.
What began as an online youth campaign has gradually moved to public platforms, drawing attention from students across different states. Organisers claim the initiative reflects growing concerns among young people regarding examination processes and educational opportunities.
The planned Amritsar protest comes at a time when Punjab's political landscape is beginning to witness increased activity ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
