Er. Jatinder Garg elected President of PSEB Engineers’ Association

Patiala (Punjab), May 9, 2026:In a meeting held on Friday, the PSEB Engineers’ Association unanimously elected Jatinder Garg as its new President.
Er. Garg, who previously served as Senior Vice President of the Association, has also been actively associated with the Joint Action Committee of Power Sector Engineers, Employees and Pensioners.
The Association noted that Er. Garg was recently transferred out of Patiala allegedly due to political pressure and his active involvement in association-related activities. The transfer had drawn strong condemnation from engineers across the state.
The Executive Committee expressed confidence that under Er. Garg’s leadership, the Association would continue to work with greater unity and determination for the welfare of engineers and the protection of Punjab’s power sector.
The Association also placed on record its appreciation for the services rendered by outgoing President Jasvir Singh Dhiman.
Er. Dhiman has remained part of the Association’s executive body for the past 25 years. During his tenure, the Association actively highlighted key issues related to engineers and the power sector while strengthening unity among the engineering fraternity.
Members thanked Er. Dhiman for his dedicated leadership and extended their best wishes for the future.
