Ferozepur CHT Pooja Arora honoured with State Teacher Award
Ferozepur, September 10, 2026: Pooja Arora, Centre Head Teacher (CHT) of Government Primary School, Jhok Harihar, Ferozepur district, has been honoured with the State Teacher Award for her outstanding contribution to the field of education.
She received the prestigious award on September 5, 2026, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, in recognition of her dedicated services, improvement in students’ learning outcomes, contribution to the overall development of the school and commitment to education.
Through her hard work, dedication and innovative educational initiatives, Pooja Arora has played a significant role in creating an effective and student-centric learning environment at the school. Keeping in view the individual learning needs of children, she has promoted activity-based learning, innovative teaching methods and a variety of co-curricular activities.
On receiving the state-level honour, the school staff, students, parents, Anganwadi workers, village Panchayat and residents of Zhok Harihar congratulated Pooja Arora. A special felicitation programme was also organised in her honour, where she was warmly welcomed with garlands and sweets.
Speaking on the occasion, villagers and members of the school staff said that her continuous efforts in the field of education were an inspiration for other teachers as well. They described the achievement as a matter of pride not only for Government Primary School, Zhok Harihar, but also for Ferozepur district.
Pooja Arora expressed her gratitude to the Punjab Government, Education Department, colleagues, students, parents and villagers for their support and appreciation.
