Former Punjab Chief Secretary Rajan Kashyap bereaved; Wife Dr. Meena Kashyap passes away

Chandigarh, January 28, 2026:Former Punjab Chief Secretary and retired IAS officer Rajan Kashyap has been bereaved by the demise of his wife, Dr. Meena Kashyap, a former professor at Government Home Science College, Chandigarh. Dr. Kashyap passed away on January 27, 2026.
A respected academic and a committed social worker, Dr. Meena Kashyap was widely admired for her contributions to education and her lifelong dedication to humanitarian causes.
Even after retiring from active teaching, she remained deeply involved in social service, regularly organising blood donation camps and actively promoting awareness about organ donation.
Family members recalled that even during her final days, Dr. Kashyap spoke about donating her eyes, reflecting her enduring compassion and commitment to serving humanity.

Dr. Meena Kashyap is survived by her husband Rajan Kashyap; daughter Binati and son-in-law Shivinder; and son Anurag and daughter-in-law Dipika. The family resides at 131, Sector 10, Chandigarh.
