National-Level BLO Training empowers electoral staff
Ferozepur, July 8, 2025: The National Level Training Program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) continued on its second day at Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Guruharsahai, under the guidance of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma.
SDM-cum-ERO Udaydeep Singh Sidhu (PCS) addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of dedication, accuracy, and responsibility in electoral duties. He highlighted the crucial role of BLOs in maintaining accurate electoral rolls and ensuring transparent voter verification processes.
He urged BLOs to effectively use the BLO and VHA mobile apps for voter registration, corrections, and deletions, and to strictly follow guidelines while handling Forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8 to avoid errors that could impact the electoral process.
A written test was conducted to assess the trainees, with SDM Sidhu formally releasing the question paper and later distributing participation and excellence certificates to successful BLOs.
ERO-1-cum-Tehsildar Gurdeep Singh, Superintendent Kewal Krishan, and master trainers Gurmeet Singh and Viney Sharma conducted practical sessions focusing on common errors and real-life case studies.
SVEEP Coordinator Parvinder Singh Sodhi, ALMTs, and the election office team ensured smooth execution of the program, supported by School Incharge Satwinder Pal Singh.
The training aims to enhance the efficiency and integrity of electoral processes at the grassroots level.
