SAD President Announces 33 New District Presidents Across Punjab

Chandigarh, July 7, 2025 – Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President today announced a new list of 33 District Presidents (Urban and Rural) as part of the party’s ongoing reorganisation drive across Punjab.
The appointments were made following a series of delegate meetings conducted in each district, chaired by respective District Observers appointed by the party. These observers were tasked with gathering inputs from the grassroots and submitted their detailed reports to the party headquarters by 6 PM.
Based on these observer reports and subsequent consultations with key local leaders, the SAD President finalised and released the list of new district heads, aiming to strengthen the party structure at the district level ahead of upcoming political engagements.
The party, however, has deferred the decision for Pathankot district, where reorganisation efforts are still underway. Senior leader and Core Committee Member Gurbachan Singh Babbeyhali has been entrusted with the responsibility to oversee and finalise the district unit’s reconstitution.
The newly appointed district presidents are expected to take charge immediately and mobilise local units to enhance party outreach and coordination across their respective regions.
