Special lecture on “Constitutional Responsibility-Fundamental Duties” organized at DSCW
Ferozepur, March 6, 2026: The Department of Political Science of Dev Samaj College for Women, (DSCW) Ferozepur organized a special lecture on the topic “Constitutional Responsibility: Fundamental Duties”, with the objective of creating awareness among students about the fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution of India and motivating them to understand their responsibilities as responsible citizens.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Rukinder Kaur, Head and Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science. While introducing the speaker, she highlighted the importance of understanding and following constitutional values in a democratic society.
On the occasion, Komalpreet Kaur, a BA second-year student, presented her views as a speaker under the Peer Teaching Learning and IKS Series. She elaborated on the significance of Fundamental Duties mentioned in the Constitution and explained that every citizen should actively contribute to maintaining national unity, integrity, environmental protection, and social harmony.
The lecture proved to be highly informative and engaging. Students gained a deeper understanding of their duties towards the Constitution through the session, said Dr. Sangeeta, Principal congratulating Dr. Rukinder Kaur and the Department of Political Science for successfully organizing the program.
