Surrey: Gunshots fired outside several business houses
Surrey, June 10, 2025: Unidentified gunmen fired several gunshots outside many business houses to extort money.
According to reports, gunshots were fired outside Reflection Banquet Hall near 153 Street and 66 Avenue. The property owner, Satish Kumar is President of Laxmi Narayan Mandir. He disclosed that he had received an extortion call demanding 2 million dollars. He said that he had clearly told these people that he would not give them any money and that he was not scared of them. Later these persons attacked his place on June 7 at 2:30 a.m. He also added that the community must come together to stop such incidents. Surrey Police has acknowledged that gunshots were fired.
