World Water Day: Poster making competition held at DSCW
Ferozepur, March 22, 2025: To commemorate World Water Day, Postgraduate Botany Department, Dev Samaj College for Women (DSCW) organized Poster making competition.

World Water Day, observed annually on March 22, raises awareness about the importance of freshwater conservation and sustainable management. With increasing global water scarcity, events like these inspire young minds to take responsibility for protecting this vital resource.
Principal Dr. Sangeeta said, around 35 students participated, creatively expressing messages on water conservation through their posters.
Dr. Vandana Gupta, Head of Home Science, and Madam Palvinder Kaur, Dean of Cultural Affairs, judged the competition. The students showcased artistic brilliance in raising awareness about the need to save water.
The winners were - 1st place: Gurjeet Kaur, 2nd place: Gurjot Kaur, 3rd place: Sukhmanpreet Kaur, 4th place: Payal. They were honoured by Principal Dr. Sangeeta and faculty members. Participants also received certificates of appreciation.
Principal Dr. Sangeeta congratulated Dr. Manish Kumar (Head), Assistant Professors Dr. Geetanjali, Dr. Maninder Kaur, and Madam Aparajita for the event’s successful execution. Chairman Nirmal Singh Dhillon extended his best wishes, appreciating the initiative to instill environmental consciousness among students.
