Haryana Government Increases Arhatiya Commission from Rs 46 to Rs 55 per quintal, Releases ₹309 Crore
Chandigarh, January 9, 2025 – In a significant move to support arhatiyas (commission agents), the state government has increased their commission from ₹46 per quintal to ₹55 per quintal, providing a much-needed boost to their earnings.
As part of this initiative, over ₹309 crore has already been released to arhatiyas, ensuring timely benefits under the revised structure. This was disclosed during a government meeting where officials also shared updates on public welfare schemes and decisions from various departments.
The hike in commission reflects the government's commitment to addressing the concerns of commission agents and enhancing their role in the agricultural marketing ecosystem. Further measures to streamline benefits and improve the overall welfare of stakeholders in the state were also discussed.
