Chandigarh, March 13, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Neel Garg launched a scathing attack on Punjab Congress leaders, accusing them of running state politics from Delhi while criticizing AAP for the same. Garg questioned why key Congress meetings were being held in Delhi under the supervision of Bhupesh Baghel, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, instead of in Punjab.
“Congress leaders frequently accuse AAP of being controlled from Delhi, yet they hold their crucial meetings there. I challenge Leader of Opposition Pratap Bajwa and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring—why isn’t Rahul Gandhi or any senior leader coming to Punjab? Why is Bhupesh Baghel, who isn’t even from Punjab, deciding Punjab’s future?” Garg asked.
Highlighting Congress’s repeated electoral failures, Garg stated that the party has been consistently rejected in Punjab’s panchayat, municipal, and by-elections. “With no public support left, Congress is hiding in Delhi, spreading propaganda instead of facing the people of Punjab,” he said.
In contrast, Garg emphasized AAP’s commitment to governing directly from Punjab under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. “From transforming government schools to providing free electricity, cracking down on drug cartels, and creating jobs for youth, CM Bhagwant Mann is working tirelessly for Punjab’s betterment. Meanwhile, Congress remains stuck in Delhi boardrooms, disconnected from the ground reality,” he added.
Garg further challenged Congress, stating: “If Congress truly cares about Punjab, why can’t its leadership hold meetings here? The people of Punjab deserve better than a party that governs from afar.”
With Punjab’s political battleground heating up, AAP is positioning itself as the only party working for the state’s progress, while Congress struggles with internal conflicts and leadership questions.
