Chandigarh, March 22, 2025: Punjab Congress Working President Bharat Bhushan Ashu has strongly criticized the AAP government, alleging that the state is in the grip of an unprecedented governance crisis.
He stated that law and order has collapsed, gangsters controlled the streets, and businesses are fleeing, while Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal played political games instead of addressing Punjab’s real issues.
Ashu slammed AAP for fielding a Rajya Sabha MP in the Ludhiana West by-election, claiming it is a move to secure a Rajya Sabha seat for Arvind Kejriwal rather than serving Punjab’s interests. He also accused AAP of betraying the family of Gurpreet Singh Gogi, who was initially promised the ticket but later sidelined.
Ashu revealed that he met Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi, emphasizing Gandhi’s unwavering support during his toughest times.
He assured that Punjab Congress is prepared to take on the AAP government and will contest every upcoming election with full strength.Predicting a political shift from Ludhiana West, Ashu declared that by 2027, Congress will sweep Punjab, as people seek a government that prioritizes them over individual ambitions.
"Punjab Congress is united, determined, and ready to fight for the people’s future," he asserted.
