Minister Dr.Ravjot Singh conducts surprise inspection in Kartarpur town, emphasizes cleanliness, timely project completion

Kartapur (Jalandhar), May 20, 2025: Punjab Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh conducted a surprise visit to Kartarpur town on Tuesday morning to review sanitation and development work managed by the Municipal Council Kartarpur.
He was accompanied by MLA Balkar Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Jasbir Singh.
During the inspection, the Minister toured multiple areas and directed officials to ensure daily and timely garbage collection, particularly from high-waste zones.He stressed that delays in sanitation work would not be tolerated and called for strict cleanliness measures to maintain a healthy environment.
Dr. Singh also inspected the under-construction Gaushala being developed by Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, and instructed that the project be completed on time. He noted that the Gaushala would help manage the stray cattle problem, especially on highways, thus reducing road accident risks.
Reviewing various ongoing and completed development projects, including those near Gurudwara Gangsar Sahib, the Minister issued directions for their swift execution. MLA Balkar Singh proposed new initiatives for Kartarpur’s development, which were approved by the Minister for early implementation.
The Minister reiterated the Punjab Government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and announced similar surprise inspections across other cities.He also appealed to citizens to support the cleanliness mission by using designated waste disposal systems.
Later, Dr. Singh held a meeting with Municipal Council officials to address development concerns. ADC Jasbir Singh presented an overview of projects under execution, highlighting the state’s focus on the holistic development of Kartarpur city.
