Final journey of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa begins from Sangrur to native village

Sangrur (Punjab), May 30, 2025 –The final journey of veteran politician Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa began today as his mortal remains were taken from Sangrur city to his ancestral village Ubhawal, where the last rites will be performed.
As the ambulance passed through various areas of the city, people gathered at several points to pay their final respects and bid farewell.
Many offered floral tributes and showered flowers on the ambulance as a mark of love and reverence. It was a moving scene of collective grief as citizens came together to honor the leader.
Paraminder Dhindsa extended his heartfelt gratitude to each person who paused to pay homage along the route.During the procession, BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia also paid his respects with flowers and joined the Dhindsa family in mourning.
Speaking to Babushahi, Kalia said that both he and his late father shared a deep bond with Sukhdev Dhindsa, adding that this loss is not only personal but one that the entire state of Punjab feels deeply.
